David Ludwig, 18, and his 14 year old girlfriend, Kara Borden were both homeschooled. Now David is spending the rest of his natural life behind bars for murdering Michael and Cathryn Borden, his girlfriend’s parents.

Kara Borden, while not convicted of any crimes, didn’t hesitate to hop into her beau's get-away car. She told him she wanted to "get as far away as possible, get married and start a new life." Only after Borden was confronted with surveillance cameras did she confess to accompanying Ludwig of her own free will. Whether Miss Borden was an actual accomplice in the murder of her parents remains unclear, though her willingness to leave with her parent's murderer raises questions regarding her loyalties.
